We will NOT be having a regular troop meeting on Monday, November 24th.
Rather, please swing by the Reed's House and pick up your wreath order @ 35 Teaneck Drive, East Northport from 6-8pm.
Monday, December 8 will be our troop COH and holiday party.
The East Northport Chamber of Commerce will be supplying pizzas.
Scouts should each bring an unwrapped gift for our toy drive - see attached.
I am sharing an update on the 2026 National Jamboree, taking place from July 22-31, 2026, at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.
Scouts from any troop in Suffolk County can participate in this unforgettable, life-changing event. The National Jamboree offers a unique blend of adventure, leadership development, and camaraderie, providing Scouts and adult leaders with a chance to grow and connect with peers from across the country.
For about 9 months, Suffolk County Council and Theodore Roosevelt Council (Nassau County) have been discussing plans for a merger into one larger council - Scouting American Long Island. In order to merge, both councils needed to vote YES at the super majority or 60% level. I attended the SCC vote was last week, and our council voted 82-2 in favor of merging.
The Troop will be running a bake sale at Pulaski Road Elementary School on Election Day, just as we have for the past two years.
A special THANK YOU to Jennie Neknez for organizing the bake sale this November.
