Wreath Sales at St. Anthony's Church, East Northport

Our Troop's Committee has organized two more timeslots to sell our remaining inventory of wreaths and crosses this coming weekend @ St. Anthony's Church in East Northport.

Order of the Arrow (OA)

At our meeting on 12/1, JT explained that the Order of the Arrow (OA) is the Scouting America "Honor Society." We will be conducting a troop vote for selection for the OA on Monday, January 26th. To be eligible you must have:

We will NOT be having a regular troop meeting on Monday, November 24th.
Rather, please swing by the Reed's House and pick up your wreath order @ 35 Teaneck Drive, East Northport from 6-8pm.

Troop Holiday Party and Court of Honor

Monday, December 8 will be our troop COH and holiday party.
The East Northport Chamber of Commerce will be supplying pizzas.
Scouts should each bring an unwrapped gift for our toy drive - see attached.

2026 National Scouting America Jamboree

I am sharing an update on the 2026 National Jamboree, taking place from July 22-31, 2026, at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.

Scouts from any troop in Suffolk County can participate in this unforgettable, life-changing event. The National Jamboree offers a unique blend of adventure, leadership development, and camaraderie, providing Scouts and adult leaders with a chance to grow and connect with peers from across the country.

Scouting America Long Island - Suffolk and Nassau Councils have agreed to merge

Dear Troop 52 Family,

For about 9 months, Suffolk County Council and Theodore Roosevelt Council (Nassau County) have been discussing plans for a merger into one larger council - Scouting American Long Island. In order to merge, both councils needed to vote YES at the super majority or 60% level. I attended the SCC vote was last week, and our council voted 82-2 in favor of merging.
